Konsep Kesejahteraan Sosial Lakatosian dalam Perspektif Maqashid Shariah

As social beings, humans need a good level of welfare and they can get happiness. This paper aims to determine the paradigm of Lakatos' research program on social welfare from an Islamic perspective. This research uses qualitative type with literature study method with descriptive analysis. The results showed that Lakatos welfare provides social, economic and health benefits with indicators of increased welfare and quality of life, restoration of social functions, increased social resilience, capacity building, standardized care and management of social welfare. In contrast, the concept of social welfare from the Islamic perspective relies on a balance of material and spiritual prosperity in the world and the hereafter aiming at benefits (maslaha), happiness (al-falah), peace (salam) and luck (muflihun) with indicators of prayer, fasting, zakat and hajj. There is a difference between the convergence of the Lakatosian welfare paradigm, which is worldly materialism positivism, and the Islamic paradigm is of material and hereafter happiness thus strengthening social theories. The implication is that social welfare is based on sharia goals (maqasid sharia) and obtains opportunities for God's grace that are not obtained from Lakatos' social welfare.
