Dampak Gangguan Psikotik Dan Perilaku Coping Pada Keluarga (Studi Fenomenologi Pada Keluarga Yang Hidup Bersama Penderita Psikotik Di Kabupaten Pati)

The mental disorder case in Pati regency on 2013 is 1.650 cases. The data estimated more than 50% diagnosis as psychotic. This research aimed to describe the family burden experienced of psychotic patients and the family coping strategies. This reseach used qualitatif methode with phenomenological approach. Primary data was obtained from deep interview with family member of psychotic disorder patients. The result indicated that families experiencing the impact of psychotic disorders in form of physical burden, economic and psychological. Families used both types of coping strategies (probem and emotional focused coping). Physical burden include physical injury and the damage on goods. Economic burden include medical expenses and daily needs. Psichological burden include feeling sad, confused, embarrassed and anxious.
