Pengembangan Industri Makanan Olahan Berbahan Baku Ikan Laut Di Kabupaten Pati (Dalam Perspektif Kondisi Kualitas Tenaga Kerja)

The objectives of this research were: (1) to describe the labor state
of fish processing industries and; (2) to identify labor obstacles that
hinder the development of fish processing industries. This research
was conducted in Pati Regency. Data were analyzed qualitatively.
The results of research were: (1) The opportunities of fish
processing industries were: industries are located near settlement,
so that it is easy to get labor with low wage. Labors on these
industries do not need special expertise and high level of education;
(2) The obstacles on fish processing industries were: the scarcity of
labors during peak fishing session because most the industries need
high number of labors. On the other hand, the youth in the
settlements near the industries neglect to work on fish processing
industries because of low wages.
