Persepsi Pekerja Seks Komersial Remaja Terhadap Pola Asuh Orang Tua (Studi Kasus Remaja Pekerja Seks Komersial Di Kabupaten Pati)

Adolescent perception of parenting style will influence their
responses in social environment. Negative perception of the
parenting style can lead to delinquency, includes premarital sex
behavior and prostitution. This research used qualitative descriptive
approaches. Primary data were obtained by in-depth interview and
observation. Secondary data were obtained by documents from
relevant agencies. Key informants were four adolescent prostitutes
whom were obtained by purposive sampling method. The results
showed that informant had less attachment to father figur. They
were closer to their mother than to their father. However they did
not tell their prostitution activities because they did not want to
disappoint their family and make them sad. Moreover, they were
afraid being berated. Informants perceived different parenting
styles, includes authoritarian, which they perceived their parent
treatment tended to be hard and rigid; permissive, which they
perceived their parent tended to ignore and did not care to them,
and inadequate authoritative, which they perceived their parents
treat them democratically, but their togetherness as a family lasted
shortly.
