River is still the central source to supply water for agriculture. The
quality of irrigation water affects the quality of paddy soil and plant
growth. Good source of irrigation water becomes one of crucial
factors in rice growth. Irrigation water also contributed to the
amount of some macro and micro nutrients in the soil. This research
aims: 1) To determine the content of total-N, available-P and
available-K in irrigation water; 2) To determine the influence of
irrigation water of the content of total-N, available-P and available-
K in paddy soil. This research was conducted period June-August
2013 at Bulumanis Kidul Village, Margoyoso sub-district. Data were
analyzed using descriptive quantitative method. The results showed:
1) Laboratory testing results that total-N content of irrigation water
range 0.01-0.02%; available-P content is in the range of 1.48 to 4.8
mg/kg and content of total-K range from 42.08 to 86.68 mg/kg; 2)
Total-N and available-K contents of paddy soil are not influenced by
the total-N and total-K contents of irrigation water. This is proved by
the probability of statistical calculations >0,05. Available-P content of the paddy soil is influenced by the available-P content of irrigation
water with the percentage of determination is 25.4%, while the
remaining 74.6% are influenced by other factors.
