Contaminated water decreased quality of soil because of changing chemical composition of soil. It potentially damages lives around, even humankind. This study aimed to (1) to describe quality of rice field soil around Suwatu River based on chemical parameters i.e. C-organic, N-total, P-available, and K-available (2) to determine effect of distance from pollutant resource toward C-Organic, N-total, P-available, and K-available. This study used quantitative approach. Data was obtained from rice field area located in south side of Suwatu River. It was analyzed using descriptive and regression methods. Results of this study show: (1) The Range of C-organic is medium to high, content of N - total ranges from very low to low, content of P- available and K - available are included very high category, based on Land Research Center (1983), (2) Distance from pollutant resource significantly effects C-organic and P available. It has negative correlation, means the farther distance from pollutant source, the lower C-organic and P-available content. Regression analysis results linear equation. i. e. y = 5.749 - 0.014 x for C-organic and y = 240.13-.537 x for P-available.
